Adobinve is taking a new step in its commitment to sustainability and innovation by participating in the CIARA project – Circular and Intelligent Management of Wastewater in Nuclear Transition Areas.
The project aims to develop more efficient, circular, and intelligent solutions for wastewater management, combining technical diagnosis, pilot trials, and new technologies focused on water reuse and resource recovery.
In Adobinve’s case, CIARA will focus on the study of key residual streams from the tanning process and on the validation of specific technologies to improve their treatment and valorization.
This initiative will make it possible to move towards a more circular model for resource management, reduce the environmental impact of industrial processes, and generate knowledge that can be applied to other activities with highly complex effluents.
The CIARA project involves Adobinve, Herència Altés, Aigües de Catalunya, and the Catalan Water Partnership, which acts as coordinator, with external collaboration from INNOVI – Catalan Wine Cluster.
CIARA has a requested budget of €170,868.20 and is funded with the support of ACCIÓ, the agency for business competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia, within the framework of the Nuclear Transition Funds call.
With this project, Adobinve reinforces its commitment to continuous improvement, circularity, and water resilience in the territory.
